What a Pain in the Pump

What a Pain in the Pump

May 20, 2022

Temperatures are going up. And so are gas prices.

If you’re like us, you wince every time you pull up to the pump. And if you’re a big-time commuter, this new reality is eating into your budget.

But what can we do? Most of us can’t switch to the subway or run out and buy an electric car.

Luckily, there are ways to minimize the impact of gas prices on your life. And they don’t require you to change everything you do (or where you live):

  • Carpooling — Some old ideas are the best. Find a close coworker and take turns riding shotgun.
  • Errand Blocks — Schedule your time away from home all at once to maximize fuel efficiency.
  • Speed Limits — While not as fun, driving slower reduces gas consumption. Slow down!

These easy tips can have you sighing with relief when you see the GAS part of your budget dwindle.
